Undertale was released on September 15, 2015, so the fifth anniversary of the game is coming soon. The game started out as a cult hit, but it quickly drew mainstream levels of success, as an adoring fanbase around the world flocked to Undertale for its funny characters, unique gameplay elements, and incredible soundtrack. As we all know, Undertale was eventually ported to the PS4, PS Vita and Nintendo Switch. Surprisingly the title never made its way to Xbox One which might not bode well for Deltarune coming there too. Automatic text editor.
Undertale Ps4 Price
Today, developer tobyfox announced that the unique RPG, Undertale will release for the PS4 and PS Vita on August 15th. The game will suport crossbuy, allowing you to buy it on either of the platforms and play it on the other.
Undertale – PS4 & PS Vita
In Undertale, you control a human who falls underground into the world of monsters. You must find your way out or stay trapped forever, but here’s the rub: you don’t have to kill things. Yes you can even befriend the game’s bosses. This unique approach to the game in addition to its well designed puzzles and gameplay earned the game numerous critical acclaim when it released for PC in 2015, earning several perfect scores from notable publications.
Pre-orders for the game include a dynamic theme for the PS4 designed by Truant Pixel and Merrigo and a new song from the developer. The game is digital only but Fangamer will be producing a physical collector’s edition that can be pre-ordered for its September release. The collector’s edition has the following:
- Available in PS4 or PS Vita versions
- Undertale Soundtrack with cover art by fan artist Cocoa Ando. Also, a couple tracks added, like the PS4 Theme background music
- 24-page booklet featuring a re-illustration of the opening sequence by Temmie Chang! (She made those originally, you know…)
- Reversible cover you’ll immediately regret realizing is reversible
- Music Box Locket that was a pain to make because the previous factory kept making it off tempo
- Undertale sheet music booklet featuring six songs with annotations by me that reveal their blatantly obvious inspirations
There you have it. Less than a month until PS4 players can see what all the fuss is about. Thoughts on Undertale coming to the PS4? Planning on picking up the game and/or the Collector’s Edition? Let us know in the comments.
More News
Imovie for dummies. There is more Undertale (or more likely, Deltarune) news coming soon, as there will be announcements regarding the game in the next issue of Famitsu.
Undertale creator Toby Fox is currently working on a quasi-sequel/parallel game called Deltarune, which will be released in chapters. The first chapter of Deltarune is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

Undertale has earned a sizable fanbase in Japan, which is why the upcoming issue of Famitsu will be celebrating the fifth anniversary of the game with exclusive content. According to Gamestalk, this issue will include an announcement regarding the series. The next issue of Famitsu is due to be released on September 10.
It’s possible that the announcement is related to more versions of Undertale, such as Google Stadia or Xbox One ports. It’s possible that the game will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X as well. The more likely answer is that the release date for Deltarune Chapter 2 will be announced in Famitsu, as it has been in development for two years and Toby Fox has talked about how production on the game is going well on Twitter.
It’s been a wild ride for both Undertale fans and its creator. Toby Fox went from a guy making EarthBound hacks in his bedroom, to creating one of the most highly-acclaimed video games of all time and having his characters and songs appearing in the Super Smash Bros. series. An off-hand mention of Moon by Toby Fox managed to get the game localized and ported to modern systems, despite coming out in ’97, which shows how much clout he holds in the industry. Getting a feature in Famitsu is no small feat, and we hope that the wait for more Deltarune content is almost over, as fans over the world are longing to return to the Dark World.
The next issue of Famitsu is due to be released on September 10, 2020.
